About Chelsea Upholstery & Interiors
We draw on three generations’ worth of experience in furniture making and textiles to create quality pieces of bespoke furniture that are as unique as they are timeless.
All of our furniture is lovingly crafted in our own workshops and is produced by combining the rigour and craftsmanship with both traditional and modern furniture-making and upholstery techniques.
Since 2005 Chelsea Upholstery & Interiors has grown from being trusted experts in antique upholstery, to become premium makers of bespoke furniture for the trade.
How we work
We can produce full suites and bespoke furnishings for large-scale, commercial projects as well as smaller, individual pieces for residential.
Of course no two projects are the same, but generally as a first step the client will send us images and sketches by way of inspiration. We’ll then work in close collaboration with them to realise the brief. Once it’s finalised, we’ll put together a quote for the work and agree a lead time; typically this is within a six-14 week period.
We’ll develop technical drawings and prototypes and, depending on the size of the project, source any wood or fabric samples that are needed. At that point we’ll discuss any final changes before we go ahead and create the piece.
